Review #1:   Jill, Pleasanton, July 2004: We spent a 4th of July at Ardenwood. It was like an old fashioned picnic. There was a watermelon seed spitting contest, tug of war, docents telling stories, hay hides, doecents making butter and lemonaide. We brought a picnic basket of food, and enjoyed the day!
