Summary:   Their year-round territory extends from their roost spot in the Ferry Plaza area (the grassy area across from the Ferry Building) along the waterfront to the eastern edge of the Presidio and Laurel Heights. They can be seen often in Washington Square Park and at Fort Mason. In the summer, they expand their range through the Western Addition to Cole Valley, Parnassus Heights and Noe Valley. They’re going to these neighborhoods to eat from certain trees that they like. The parrots spend the entire year in the city.

    Mark,
Just a grandmother who loves birds and animals of all kinds…well, almost all.
I absolutely fell in love with your DVD….cried my eyes out. Where can I purchase the book on the parrots? I’ve got two little budgies that I give the very best care to….even cook them special grains etc. What I would give to have them let love me. They are a flock unto themselves.
You’re a kind man and I’m so glad you found Judy.
